Menton is about 16 miles, or a thirty minute drive from Nice. The town is situated close to the Italian border. Menton is the warmest spot in the Cote D’Azur, and a favourite town for retirement. The atmosphere of the town is very laid back and quiet compared to Nice. There is a long beach, with a promenade alongside. Many nice restaurants set up on the promenade, mostly in summer, but many trade throughout the year.
Menton is a perfect destination for a holiday. The bus to Nice takes about an hour, and the busting Italian border town of Ventimiglia with its famous Friday market is just a few minutes by train.
